Following closely on the heels of the creation of its European operation, KeyTools International, the holding company for KeyTools (Pty) Ltd, the South African-based mobile information solutions provider, today announced the establishment of an Australian operation. KeyTools Australia Ltd, based in Sydney, NSW, Australia, has been set up in conjunction with the Bryton Group and its technology operating arm, Advantec, which focuses on the mobile computing arena.
Under the licensing agreement, Advantec will supply all personnel for the operation and be responsible for the sales and marketing of the KeyTools Australia range of mobile information software solutions for the Sovereign Territory of Australia. Bill Hakin, a director and shareholder of the Bryton Group will also be CEO of KeyTools Australia.
The KeyTools Australia range is spearheaded by TransPhormer, a remote data transfer protocol which allows for a thin client element to be deployed on a PDA or laptop. When activated, it enables access and data transmission, via GSM, GPRS or Bluetooth technologies, to central company databases, eg ERP, CRM, support and financial, thus making mobile application commerce a realistic and cost-effective proposition.
As specific and essential data only is moved between the TransPhormer-deployed Head Office server and the thin client (and vice-versa), time spent on connectivity is far shorter, thus radically reducing the cost-to-company. KeyTools`s TransPhormer product, through its information mobility protocol, enables cost effective mobile commerce for any information, at any time, in any place, in any format, using any device, for any authenticated user and in any marketplace - the Any7 principle.
"TransPhormer enables the delivery of business critical information to mobile devices enabling senior executives, sales teams, service teams or third-party agents to be more efficient and effective. Construction, engineering, manufacturing, service industries, FMCG and the public services will all be impacted by these mobile commerce developments. Any7hing is possible," commented Bill Hakin, CEO of KeyTools Australia. "Advantec will bring a wealth of business experience in CRM and IT within the Australian market."
"We see the Australian set-up as mirroring the European operation, and thus a template for establishing similar operations in the Far East, the Americas and New Zealand. We will continue to do all the development necessary back here in SA to support our overseas operations," added Richard Chalk, CEO of KeyTools (Pty) Ltd. "We already have these skills in place, and the economics and environment here are much better than if we moved that part of our operation elsewhere."
Bryton Group is a holding company for a number of operations including Advantec, its technology arm.
