KeyTools today announced that it had released a new and significantly faster version of its TransPhormer product, version 3.1.
"This new version of TransPhormer utilises version 4 of MySQL from MySQL AB, the world`s most popular database server, which not only allows for more concurrent connections, but is more stable and significantly faster," commented Richard Chalk, CEO of KeyTools International.
"We have also redesigned and optimised the Thin Client/TransPhormer interface as well optimising much of the remaining code. The latter has made the product much easier to maintain.
"In today`s environment where there is a strong focus on efficiency and productivity, `mobilising the workforce` is one way to achieve some of those goals," concluded Chalk. "Transphormer is a key product in this enablement activity."
TransPhormer is a remote data transfer protocol, which allows for a `relatively Thin Client` element to be deployed on a PDA or laptop. When activated, it enables access and data transmission, via GSM, HSCSD, GPRS or Bluetooth technologies, to central company databases, eg ERP, CRM, support and financial, thus making mobile application commerce a realistic and cost-effective proposition.
