KeyTools today announced that it had not only signed up Durban-based PSI Services as a Value-Added Reseller but also as a client for an internal application based around the KeyTools Transphormer product and its own Mobile Job Card Application.
"We were so impressed with the capabilities of KeyTools that we decided that we could benefit from an efficiency and effectiveness viewpoint by utilising one of the products ourselves that we would marketing to our client base," commented Mary Harding, MD of PSI Services. "The Mobile Job Card Application for our hand-held devices and developed for us by KeyTools will substantially enhance our service levels to our clients."

Durban-based PSI Services, which also has offices and representation in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, Pretoria and Richards Bay, is focused on the provision of a wide range of services including Application Development, Desktop Management, Operating Systems Management, Project Management and WAN/LAN Management.
Apart from specific mobile applications such as GlobalOrder, KeyAssess, KeyGold, KeyLife and mobiSCAN; KeyTools has also developed TransPhormer, a browser-independent remote data transfer protocol, which is loaded onto a dedicated server or within a partition of an existing server and is fully scalable. It allows information to be transferred with reduced connectivity time, reduced security risk, reduced data throughput and increased accuracy to a PDA, e.g. palmtop, laptop and certain smart phones. When activated, TransPhormer enables data transmission via GPRS/GSM, HSCSD, or Bluetooth technologies, between the PDA and a company`s server that is hooked into its database, e.g. ERP, CRM, support and financial, therefore making mobile application commerce a realistic and cost-effective proposition.
