Kingston releases 128MB MultiMediaCard MultiMediaCards

Johannesburg, 31 Jul 2002

Kingston Technology Company has announced the immediate availability of a 128MB MultiMediaCard (MMC). About the size of a postage stamp and weighing less than two grams, MMC is the ideal storage solution for today`s digital media devices. The devices are available from Axiz, Kingston`s local distributor.

The MultiMediaCard`s small form factor (32mm x 24mm x 1.4mm) and high capacity allows for increased storage of audio files, digital images, and data. Kingston`s MultiMediaCards have a read/write speed of 1.7MB/1.6MB per second. MultiMediaCards are used in digital video cameras, mobile phones, MP3 players, personal digital assistants and other digital devices.

"Kingston`s MultiMediaCards accommodates the growing need of increased storage capacities in a small portable form factor," says Ian Rayner, Kingston brand manager at Axiz. "The addition of a 128MB MultiMediaCard reflects Kingston`s commitment to providing quality digital media solutions for our customers."

Kingston`s MultiMediaCards are individually tested and backed by a five-year warranty and free technical support. For more information on Kingston`s digital media products, please visit http://www.kingston.com/flash.
