Kingston Technology has announced the immediate availability of DDR400 (PC3200) memory modules for system builders and PC enthusiasts. The Kingston Technology ValueRAM DDR400 DIMMs are destined for use on motherboards supporting DDR400 memory.
In 2002, the transition to DDR memory technology took place across all platforms, ranging from desktop PCs, workstations, notebooks, servers and other networking/communications platforms, resulting in DDR becoming the dominant memory technology in 2003.
"Kingston Technology is further demonstrating its market leadership by supporting system builders, gamers and other PC enthusiasts by introducing DDR400 memory modules to Kingston Technology`s already comprehensive line of ValueRAM memory products," says Ian Rayner, Kingston brand manager at local Kingston distributor, Axiz.
"Consistent with the introduction of any new Kingston Technology product, Kingston Technology has undergone multiple levels of rigorous testing to launch the DDR400 memory modules," he adds. "Kingston Technology engineers have tested the new modules on the Agilent 83000 platform to verify engineering specifications. The memory modules have also been tested on the currently available platforms that support DDR400."
