KLG designs PM solution
KLG Systel, a software development and organisation life cycle solutions company, has designed an enterprise-wide, Web-based project management (PM) solution for the Assam Public Works Department (APWD), using Primavera solutions and Oracle Applications.
The design objective of the PM module is to provide APWD with an enterprise solution that supports the planning, scheduling, monitoring, control and reporting of the capital investment process, reports Moneycontrol India.
The implementation of the PM module for PWD will aid in effective management of public asset creation projects, which are being undertaken for the people of Assam. Roads, buildings and bridges are the major business areas being considered for the implementation.
ACC`s courses approved
Advanced Concepts Centre (ACC), a provider of learning solutions to include consulting, education and mentoring, has announced its PM and business analysis curriculum has been approved for Professional Development Unit (PDU) course credits.
The ACC, as a Project Management Institute (PMI) Registered Education Provider (REP), has successfully met the PMI requirements for certifying courseware for the education of project management professionals.
The PMI REP criteria encompass programme content, instructional methodology, operational ethics, instructor qualifications and program feedback and evaluation.
Lambeth devises IT transformation toolkit to boost project success
The London Borough of Lambeth has devised a business transformation toolkit to help increase the success rate on its IT projects, says ComputerWeekly.com.
The Lambeth Transformation Academy is the result of a national project that was led by the London borough. The E-Capacity Building Programme was taken over by Lambeth when the former office of the deputy prime minister stopped funding the project.
The toolkit was designed to improve management awareness of the value of structured project management methodologies.
