Knowledge Dimension (www.kdimension.co.za) is pleased to announce a strategic alliance with AliceStreet of Canada.
"Knowledge Dimension understands the dynamics of customer needs in South Africa," says Ray Hayes, MD. "With the rapid growth of both fixed and mobile broadband infrastructures, it is critical to bring these types of global communications solutions to the South African market. It is time for South African businesses to reap the rewards of VOIP applications, making all of us more competitive in the global market."
Tim Perley-Robertson, VP, global sales, adds: "We look forward to working with Knowledge Dimension's team. They have the depth, skills and the market understanding. In addition, Knowledge Dimension will play a strong role by providing global development resources to further integrate AliceStreet's product, using IBM's Sametime, WebShere, Linux and other development tools.
Knowledge Dimension is a SA-based company which is 51% owned by Lechabile. The company has focused itself on developing and delivering innovative collaborative technologies into the market.
The broadband explosion in the SA market has been phenomenal, and companies are quickly and aggressively implementing their VOIP network strategies as well as enabling the workforce from a mobile perspective, with 3G HDSPA connectivity.
Once the infrastructure is in place companies will look to leverage their investment by implementing value-add solutions. AliceStreet is such a solution, which will improve the decision making process, give companies huge cost savings in travel and accommodation, and significantly improve corporate productivity.
AliceStreet's deployment options include LANs, WANs, satellite, WiFi, WiMax and 3G HSDPA. AliceStreet is designed to meet most markets with server software being available as a one-time licence purchase, or as a monthly service hosted in AliceStreet's global co-locations, or as software-as-a-service.
