Kodak printer tests well
The Kodak Easyshare All-in-One (AIO) Inkjet printer line has been extensively tested by a leading independent permanence testing laboratory, Wilhelm Imaging Research (WIR), states FOXBusiness.
According to the results of the industry's first five-factor print permanence testing, spearheaded by WIR, the Kodak Easyshare AIO printers and ink achieved the highest level of overall print permanence of any current consumer desktop printer system.
"These test results with the Kodak Inkjet printers and pigmented inks on the full range of seven Kodak Photo Papers and inkjet plain paper establish an important, new long-term print permanence benchmark for consumers," said Henry Wilhelm, president of WIR.
Vim denies Presstek allegations
Vim Technologies, which specialises in the field of digital printing plates and related imaging products, intends to defend itself and its distributors against the complaint filed by Presstek in the International Trade Commission (ITC), according to What They Think.
Avigdor Bieber, founder and CEO of Vim, says Vim respects intellectual property rights of others and he is confident it has not infringed any of Presstek's patents.
Bieber says he is certain the ITC will reach the same conclusion, and that Vim will vigorously defend itself against Presstek's claims.
