Konica Minolta Printing Solutions Europe has introduced the magicolor 2550DN printer, which builds on the versatility and compact design of the magicolor 2550. Suited for the office professional or small workgroup, the magicolor 2550DN has additional features that enhance in-house printing and increase performance.
Compact and desktop friendly
The magicolor 2500 series is renowned for bringing new levels of desktop printing, offering versatility, reliability, quiet operation and ease of use in one compact device.
With 5ppm in colour and 20ppm in monochrome, the magicolor 2550DN delivers high quality prints at top speed. Front access to long lasting, pre-installed consumables allow for infrequent maintenance. A status display screen and device embedded Web page gives a complete overview of important printer information, for example, consumable and print job status, directly from your PC. Furthermore, PageScope administration tools provide an easy way to manage and configure your printer environment.
"Marketing professionals are becoming increasingly aware of the benefits of in-house printing," says Ian Revell, country manager: South Africa at Konica Minolta Printing Solutions. "Not only does this provide substantial cost savings, but it offers the flexibility of creating commercial materials in small quantities.
"The magicolor 2550DN is packed with additional features and processing power to enable it to print high-quality documents and photos on the spot."
Improved processing power
Through the power of the Emperon controller, the magicolor 2550DN prints from virtually any application or operating system in a networked environment. Additionally, its 300MHz page processor and upgraded 256MB RAM allows it to zip through heavy print jobs within seconds.
Duplex unit included
Thanks to a standard duplexer, businesses have the advantage of printing a wide range of professional documents and marketing materials, from mailshots, brochures to presentations. This not only allows users to print material on-demand, but they can benefit from the vast cost savings by having the option of printing professional quality material in-house.
Additionally, it supports heavy paper of up to 200 grams (90 grams in the automatic duplexer).
PictBridge enabled
PictBridge-compliant digital cameras - a commonly accepted global standard - can be directly connected to the magicolor 2550DN. Photos can then be printed for inclusion in tenders, reports or newsletters without a PC being required. The system offers simple editing options, such as rotation, automatic adjustment of print size, and printing N-up (multiple photos on a single page). Users can also specify the number of copies required or print an overview of all photos in thumbnail format.
Sophisticated documents in stunning colour
Due to the pioneering technology of Simitri polymerised toner combined with 600 x 600dpi x 4-bit Photo ART contone, the magicolor 2550DN provides ultra sharp print outs with the finest of gradients even on course media.
This specially formulated toner yields more vibrant prints with crisp text and images. Enhanced Automatic Image Density Control (eAIDC) automatically calibrates the printer for consistent, accurate colour from the first page to the last, while built-in ICC-based colour matching provides automatic controls for precise colour correction of print files.
Whispering quiet
Due to its space saving features and low noise, the magicolor 2550DN is truly designed to sit comfortably and unobtrusively on any desk without disruption.
