Bidvest company, Konica Minolta South Africa (KMSA) announces the availability of the new IC-304 Print Controller which utilises the latest CREO Color Servers Technology to further enhance the functionality of the bizhub PRO C6500.
This exclusive print controller offers KMSA customers advanced features for productivity, high-quality image control, VDP (variable data printing) support and ease-of-use.
Based on the latest CREO Color Server Technology, the IC-304 Print Controller has been designed to streamline print production workflow and accelerate processes. A number of key features have been incorporated to further improve production, including: ready-to-print files that can be duplicated a number of times once ripped, preset printer settings and the ability to start print runs during ripping.
Marianna Gdanis, colour division manager of Konica Minolta South Africa, says: "We are delighted to introduce the IC-304 Print Controller, powered by CREO Color Server Technology, which enables truly personalised printing once again raising the bar on professional colour, speed and productivity. The features of the bizhub PRO C6500 range can be enhanced through this device offering an improved solution at a minimal cost."
The IC-304 Print Controller delivers precise colour, which when combined with Konica Minolta's Simitri High Definition toner provides customers with a comprehensive colour range and outstanding professional image quality.
Superior colour settings and advanced management tools such as a Spot Colour Editor are user-friendly and highly effective in delivering consistent, accurate colour. Customers can make necessary corrections in calibration, gradation and brightness without having to re-RIP an entire file.
By processing pre-separated files the IC-304 Print Controller is capable of managing hybrid workflows and is seamlessly integrating with BRISQUE or PRINERGY Workflow Systems, for example. It bridges the gap between offset and digital printing operations, resulting in faster turnaround times and reduced labour costs. Urgent jobs, short runs and proofs, for example, can be easily re-routed from an offset to a digital workflow. Customers can incorporate digital printing into their existing JDF-based or Web-to-print-based workflow configuration.
The IC-304 Print Controller, powered by CREO Color Server Technology, has extensive built-in VDP capabilities, processing complex variable data documents at the same speed as a static print job. This technology allows customers to preview documents and correct colour as they go.
The IC-304 supports all finishing options for the bizhub PRO C6500 range and has a range of popular editing tools and industry print formats enabling users to effortlessly create a totally diverse range of professional print materials.
