Bidvest company, Konica Minolta South Africa, has announced its release of the multifunctional bizhub C35 and the bizhub C35P colour desktop devices, specifically designed for small workgroups in larger companies.
According to Andrew Griffith, product manager for office products at Konica Minolta South Africa, business departments such as human resources and controlling often need powerful A4 colour and monochrome printing close to their workplace.
“Both the bizhub C35 and C35P perfectly complement larger output systems as compact 'satellites', easily handling office tasks and providing excellent print quality and high media flexibility. With its print, copy, scan and fax capabilities, the multifunctional bizhub C35 can also serve as a single central hub for small businesses,” he says.
Larger organisations usually print the bulk of their office jobs at centrally installed A3 multifunctional production centres and complement these with smaller satellite devices for specific workgroups. Says Griffith: “For these decentral office tasks right at one's desk, our new bizhub C35 and C35P are the ideal solutions: they are compact, operate quietly and process confidential data with discretion.”
Using the latest Emperon controller technology, the bizhub C35 and bizhub C35P integrate seamlessly into virtually any network. The devices are fully compatible with standard operating systems and most business applications. With their 800MHz page processor, Gigabit Ethernet as well as PostScript, PCL and XPS support (as standard for the bizhub C35, optional for the C35P), these compact office systems deliver a first-rate performance.
The new Konica Minolta bizhubs also enhance the productivity of any team or workgroup as they offer identical impressive print speeds of 30 pages per minute for colour and monochrome, a fast first printout in less than 13 seconds, as well as 100% duplex performance.
“Presentations, references, certificates and envelopes are created with speed and ease - up to a paper weight of 210gsm, even in duplex mode. No matter whether the printouts are in colour or black-and-white, the office systems deliver outstanding image quality thanks to the Simitri HD polymerised toner,” he adds.
The bizhub C35 brings total multi-functionality to office teams, small businesses, shops and similar environments. Perfectly equipped for everyday communication needs, the MFP offers printing, copying, scanning and faxing capabilities. Facilitating easy sharing and distribution of information, the bizhub C35 offers wide scanning functionality such as direct scan to e-mail, FTP, SMB, USB and hard disk. Scan formats cover TIFF, JPEG, XPS as well as compact and encrypted PDF. The Super G3 fax functionality includes analogue and PC fax capabilities, with convenient sending and receiving of faxes via the PC.
Both the C35 and the C35P are also equipped with a range of enhanced functionalities and security features. Various PageScope tools ensure convenient and flexible usage. The Data Administrator software, for example, streamlines the integration of new equipment into existing workflows and facilitates user account management, such as setting up restrictions for colour printing and copying in order to control costs better.
When printing sensitive data, a secure printing function restricts access so that users have to authenticate directly at the unit's operating panel. Safe network communication from and to the devices is ensured by encryption using the IPsec protocol, IP filtering and IPP Over SSL, among others. With this comprehensive security functionality, the bizhub C35 fully complies with ISO 15408 EAL 3.
“Our new bizhubs basically offer the same advanced security and network functions as our A3 multifunctional bizhubs, which facilitates administration tasks and saves time and effort,” says Griffith.
“Compared to standard A4 devices, the multifunctional bizhub C35 stands out especially, offering many more features for convenient and safe printing, copying, scanning and faxing.”
The newest members of the Konica Minolta bizhub family will be available from November 2010 in South Africa.
