Construction of Bidvest company Konica Minolta South Africa's new large and modern building in Polokwane, Limpopo, is now complete and the company's premises are open for business.
The impressive 500 square metre building is almost twice the size of the previous building and boasts an eagerly anticipated warehouse measuring about 245 square metres.
“The scale of the project has allowed for every staff member and product to reside under one roof, resulting in a more streamlined operation, which will greatly benefit our customers. The development also has energy efficient compositions in its walls, fenestrations, ceilings and roofs, lighting and water usage,” says Konica Minolta South Africa's Polokwane branch manager, Morne Etchell.
He adds that after 18 years in its previous building, the move to the new staff- and customer-friendly building is a most valued one, effecting greater productivity. “Besides the state-of-the-art working environment, the impressive structure, which stringently follows the latest Konica Minolta South Africa corporate image, also incorporates areas to entertain valued customers. Furthermore, it has a garden where staff can take some time out - a luxury the previous building did not have.”
Polokwane residents and cross-border clients will also appreciate the new parking allocated to visitors. “Previously, clients had to park in the street when visiting us. Adequate parking with stringent security is now offered on site, making for a more secure and comfortable visit to the Konica Minolta South Africa premises. Sufficient staff parking on site is now also available, resulting in an even more pleasant working environment,” says Etchell.
Another plus is that customers will have easy access to the building as it is situated adjacent to the N1 to Makhado (Louis Trichardt) and no more than four kilometres away from the Polokwane International Airport.
