Konica Minolta South Africa launches PageScope Enterprise Suite and i-Option

Johannesburg, 10 Nov 2008

Bidvest company, Konica Minolta South Africa has announced the arrival of two new offerings that will enable local users to maximise the potential of bizhub multifunctional products (MFPs) - PageScope Enterprise Suite (PSES) and i-Option solution software.

According to Mohammed Vachiat, product manager at Konica Minolta South Africa, the new products will empower businesses by providing centralised management of accounting, authentication and device information.

The Web-based PSES, which includes Account Manager, Authentication Manager, My Panel Manager and Net Care Device Manager, supports bizhub and network management by systematically linking applications seamlessly over one server. Together, these four applications give rise to easier operation and improved integrated MFP management.

The i-Option suite, designed to work through the MFP control panel, increases the available features of the bizhub. It does this through expanding on the bizhub's functions to allow Web access and document management capabilities from a MFP control panel and supporting enhanced PDF AES 128-bit encryption for extensively secure environments - which enables users to work more efficiently, securely and productively.

"Customers are looking for solutions that provide centralised, integrated management and administrative capabilities for all of their office resources," explains Vachiat. "PageScope Enterprise Suite and i-Option answer these needs and provide customisable software perfect for enterprises of any scale or scope."

Features of PageScope Suite include:

* Account Manager, providing detailed usage data to enable easy analysis and management of network devices;
* Authentication Manager, enabling the simple management of the user authentication for a variety of purposes;
* My Panel Manager, customising the bizhub control panel for each user and storing the settings in multiple bizhubs on the network; and
* Net Care Device Manager, a freeware application that simplifies MFP set-up, maintenance and management.

"Through these new offerings, our customers now have the ability to empower their businesses and gain even greater value out of their investments in our products," concludes Vachiat.
