Konica Minolta South Africa named worldwide number one again

Johannesburg, 18 Jun 2009

Bidvest company, Konica Minolta South Africa, is proud to announce that it has been named as the Dealer of the Year at a recent Konica Minolta Business Technologies Japan award ceremony, held in Fukuoka, Japan. The award, which saw companies across the globe - with the exception of the US and Europe - vying for top position, marks the local organisation's fourth consecutive win.

According to Konica Minolta South Africa MD, Alan Griffith, to be named as the best Konica Minolta dealer in the world yet again shows a truly great performance from the local company.

"By winning the number one award, we have managed to beat regions, including Australasia, main land China, South America and the entire Middle East in terms of numbers," explains Griffith. "In fact, of all of the machines supplied to the 'rest of the world' region, Konica Minolta South Africa accounted for an exceptional 25%."

In addition, Konica Minolta South Africa's Mike Mthombeni took the honour of top sales performer across the entire African and Middle Eastern region for the second consecutive year, in Konica Minolta Business Technologies Japan's annual Colour Champions League incentive.

"Following our ranking as the number one local supplier of multifunctional printers (MFPs) for 2008 across both colour and black-and-white devices in the industry sales survey undertaken by InfoSource, these awards can only highlight our phenomenal success over the past year.

"It really is a remarkable achievement for us, particularly within the current depressed economic climate, and we believe that the combination of our dedicated staff, solid dealer structure and Konica Minolta South Africa's value proposition, has brought new vitality to the local market," Griffith concludes.
