Konica Minolta South Africa once again sponsors VOICES competition on Talk Radio 702 and 567 Capetalk

Johannesburg, 29 May 2008

Bidvest company Konica Minolta South Africa has, for the third consecutive year, teamed up with Talk Radio 702 and 567 Capetalk to sponsor the successful Voices competition. The competition tests the audience's listening skills in terms of identifying famous voices of the TV, sport and business personalities that both 702 and 567 interview regularly.

The Voices competition is currently running until Friday 30 May, and listeners can win a share of R130 000 in cash by phoning in when the voices are played on air. They can also enter online or jump the queue by listening out for the presenter's prompt and then e-mailing their guesses to bizhub@702.co.za or bizhub@capetalk.co.za. One entrant will be asked to play the game live on air.

A new element has been introduced to the competition, called Office Voices. This involves promotional spots running on air inviting companies to enter the Office Voices game online where they stand to win cash and a bizhub for their company. The winner at the end of each week will be rewarded with R2 500 and then be invited to compete in the finals, which will take place at the Primedia Studios on Monday, 2 June, 2008.

Each weekly winner and three colleagues will team up with a 702 or 567 presenter and a representative from Konica Minolta South Africa and play off against the other three semi-finalist teams. The overall winning team members each receive R2 500 and a bizhub from Konica Minolta South Africa. Konica Minolta South Africa's MD, Alan Griffith, says in sponsoring the competition, they will be gaining exposure among 702 and 567 Capetalk listeners for their bizhub, which can print, copy and scan in colour or black and white, store documents, send faxes and e-mail data. "However the differentiating factor of the bizhub is that it also enables you to produce your own brochures, booklets and manuals - lowering costs, increasing productivity and quality, reliably," says Griffith. "It will store documents securely that have been scanned, printed or faxed as electronic data and make them available to anyone on the network at the touch of a button.

"We chose to sponsor a competition on 702 and 567 due to the successful branding exposure we enjoy across these stations, both of which are undoubtedly our target markets," he explains.
