The third annual VOICES competition on Talk Radio 702 and 567 Capetalk, sponsored by Bidvest company, Konica Minolta South Africa, proved successful once again with thousands of listeners taking part.
The VOICES competition ran for four weeks during the month of May with montages played across both stations. The objective was to identify the famous voices of the TV, sport and business personalities that both Talk Radio 702 and 567 Capetalk interview regularly and win a share of R130 000 in cash.
This year, people could also listen to the voices on the mobi site, play the interactive online game as well as the new OFFICE VOICES game.
Listeners were further given the opportunity to jump the queue by listening out for the presenter's prompt and then e-mail or SMS their guesses through.
For the OFFICE VOICES game, companies could enter online in an attempt to win R5 000 weekly and ultimately the grand cash prize of R10 000 and a bizhub C10 for their office. The weekly winning companies from Cape Town included Nkonki Consulting, MagmaTec, Ekukhuleni and Tafelberg Furnishers, while the Johannesburg winners were Frog Communications, Gijima Construction, OMD and Impela Electrical.
The winning teams went head to head at the final, which was hosted by 702. Master of ceremonies for the evening was John Robbie and participating presenters included Udo Carelse, Kieno Kammies and Jenny Cryws-Williams.
Each team consisted of four people per team, joined by a representative from Konica Minolta South Africa and one from either 702 or 567.
Congratulations to the champion, Impela Electrical who won the OFFICE VOICES title as well as R2 500 for each participant and a bizhub C10 for their office.
