Konica Minolta's Digital Doctor

Konica Minolta Business Solutions is offering its customers a new service solution called Digital Doctor, which helps them to manage their printers efficiently, reports The StarOnline.

Digital Doctor is a remote diagnostic system that proactively monitors a company's multi-function printers for problems such as parts deterioration or low toner levels. The software ensures all potential problems are accurately diagnosed so the correct remedial action is taken promptly, even before the user realises that the problem has occurred.

“When attention is required, the Digital Doctor will automatically alert our technical support team via e-mail to rectify the situation,” explains Konica Minolta business solutions department manager, David Tan. “Konica can also deliver the printer consumables promptly once the system has identified which cartridge needs to be replaced.”

Fujifilm expands wide-format offering

Fujifilm Graphic Systems UK has installed an EskoArtwork Kongsberg i-XL24 finishing table in its showroom in Bedford, reports Graphic Repro.

This complements Fujifilm's existing wide-format offering, allowing the company to demonstrate a complete wide-format solution from file delivery and media selection to the finished print.

Mark Stephenson, sales manager, solutions, Fujifilm Graphic Systems UK, commented: “We've got a successful history of helping printers introduce wide-format inkjet technologies into their businesses. By adding EskoArtwork finishing tables to our showroom, we are able to offer a complete wide-format solution.”
