Kronos achieves Oracle Certified Solution Partner (CSP) status

By CS Holdings
Johannesburg, 23 Feb 2000

Kronos the industry leader in frontline labour management solutions, represented locally by JSE-listed CS Holdings, has announced that it has achieved Oracle`s Certified Solution Partner (CSP) status within the Oracle Partner Program (OPP).

In July 1998, the integration between Oracle Payroll and Oracle Human Resources applications and Kronos Workforce Timekeeper and Timekeeper Central solutions was approved by Oracle`s Cooperative Applications Initiative (CAI) program. This certified integration has allowed joint mid-market and enterprise customers across many industries to capture real-time work-related at the source and seamlessly transmit the data to Oracle applications. As a result, businesses have received benefits in the form of reduced labour costs, increased accuracy in payroll, increased visibility into labour expenditures and improved customer service.

"CS Holdings has quite a few clients that have standardised on Oracle. As this is the most widely used database in larger organisations, it opens opportunities to our existing clients as well as new "Oracle" prospects to make use of these features to fully integrate their applications, comments Andre Matthysen, a director of CS Holdings.

Commenting on this latest development in the Oracle/Kronos relationship, Dan Brown, Kronos` vice president of strategic alliances, said, "In addition to meeting all requirements for CSP status, Kronos is working toward Oracle certification of its newly developed interface between Workforce Timekeeper and Oracle Projects. We will continue our application integration initiatives with Oracle to satisfy mutual customer requirements."

The JSE-listed CS Holdings owns Kronos`s interests in South Africa through its company CS Frontline.
