JSE-listed CS Holdings has announced the local availability of Kronos`s Timekeeper Express, a workflow-enabled labour management solution that allows professional workers to track their hours and leave balances directly from their computer.
CS Holdings owns the rights in sub-Saharan Africa to Kronos, the world`s leading time-attendance software system. The development and release of Timekeeper Express opens up Kronos`s Timekeeper Central product to a broad market, including companies with a mix of hourly and professional employees, says Andr'e Matthysen, MD of CS Holdings` Integrated Solutions division.
"There has been an increase in demand for professional workforce solutions in our enterprise customer base. With Timekeeper Express, these same solutions are now available to small- and medium-size organisations," says Matthysen.
"Kronos now offers automated labour-tracking solutions for every size organisation and every type of employee, regardless of pay classification, user interface or work preference."
Deployed through Microsoft Outlook and native Microsoft Windows clients, Timekeeper Express uses familiar interfaces to automate labour management for the professional worker.
Timekeeper Express enhances employee self-service by including updated leave balances, such as leave and sick pay, directly on timesheets. All approved timesheets are archived and available to employees and managers. This eliminates requests for copies and allows an audit trail to be maintained for legal and historical purposes. What may have taken payroll hours to process can now be reduced to minutes with Timekeeper Express.
"By collecting automated time and attendance information, Timekeeper Express provides management with the raw data needed to establish benchmarks and track performance against those benchmarks," says Matthysen. Kronos is universally recognised as the pioneer of labour management systems, with over 50% market share and 30 000 customers worldwide, including more than 200 in South Africa.
