Mthobisi Mahlangu (Toby) has joined KSS Technologies as an account manager in the private sector, with a focus on the middle segment of this marketplace.
He has almost seven years of experience, which includes tenures at well-known ICT players GijimaAst and Centravoice.
Commenting on Mahlangu's appointment, Stuart Cohen, sales manager at KSS Technologies, says his strong experience in the private sector and more particularly the mid-market made him the ideal candidate for the position.
"As a company, KSS focuses heavily on the South African mid-market as well as upper mid-market which offer great opportunities. This is unlike most other players in the networking sector which continue to drive their enterprise business.
"For this reason, Toby is such a good choice as his previous positions at Centravoice and GijimaAst provided him with strong insight into this market's specific needs and requirements.”

Mahlangu, who matriculated in 1999, has a diploma in sales management from Varsity College and completed GijimaAst's ETP programme (Management Development Programme) in 2008.
After completing his studies, he joined Nisi Consulting, a family-owned recruitment business, which provided him with some valuable experience in the South African corporate marketplace.
Three years later, Mahlangu decided to take his career on a different course and subsequently joined GijimaAst in 2005 where in a short period he was promoted from an account manager focusing on the SMB market within the telephony industry, to channel sales; in 2007 he was appointed a channel development manager for the organisation.
In July 2008, he joined multi-vendor telephony distributer Centravoice as its Mitel account manager before joining KSS Technologies. Mahlangu is currently completing his IMM marketing qualification.
