KSS raises the bar with key appointment

Johannesburg, 15 Feb 2010

Local converged network provider KSS Technologies has raised the bar and will be taking service delivery to a new level. To achieve this, the company has appointed Etienne du Plooy as its new Technical Services Manager.

KSS is committed to sustainable human resources and skills development through its continuous investment in highly skilled sales and technical resources, thus creating confidence in its business partners, customers and employees.

Andr'e Maree, KSS managing director, stresses that customer satisfaction continues to be among his highest priorities. “We made a conscious decision to source a high calibre person to take on this responsibility and I believe Etienne has the personality, skills and expertise to achieve this.”

Du Plooy was the national operations manager for Unisys Africa, having been with the company for more than 20 years. He was largely responsible for interacting with global team members to improve profitability and service delivery. Furthermore, his responsibilities also included supplier and partner management, Accredited Client Service Centres (ACSCs), service excellence and financial business management for operations.

Du Plooy bases all his business decisions on three pillars - clients, employees and reputation (brand). “My vision is to take service delivery to a whole new level; I like to refer to it as service excellence. I believe if you are not in sales, you better support someone in sales. This is the only way we will sustain our business going forward.”
