Kyocera Mita America, one of the world's leading document solutions companies, and Equitrac Corporation, the leader in intelligent cost recovery and print management solutions worldwide, announced today a distribution agreement where Kyocera will resell Equitrac Embedded integrated solutions for Equitrac Office and Equitrac Express for its KM-5050, KM-4050 and KM-3050 multifunctional products (MFPs).
This agreement provides Equitrac increased visibility for its trusted-brand of print management solutions for the general office and education markets, respectively, into Kyocera's channel, and enables Kyocera to increase dealer opportunities by supporting a greater range of value-added solutions to complement its highly-recognised line of reliable MFPs.
Through this arrangement, Kyocera dealers have the opportunity to offer both Equitrac Office and Equitrac Express as device-embedded solutions for Kyocera's MFP line; enabling end-users the opportunity to reduce total printing costs and optimise equipment deployment. This is achieved through greater MFP authorisation, authentication and accounting via a customised Kyocera MFP touch screen interface.
A key component to both solutions is the Equitrac Follow-You Printing embedded application, which provides business assurance that all MFP activity and end-user data is properly authorised and automatically captured, further simplifying regulatory compliance and cost accounting.
Additionally, with the Follow-You Printing application, Kyocera dealers can offer enhanced document security as documents are printed through a centrally managed server, and then securely released from the print queue when the document is authenticated at the designated printer of choice.

The Kyocera MFPs compatible with the Equitrac Embedded solutions include select models from Kyocera's line of monochrome MFPs: the KM-5050 (50 page-per-minute - ppm), KM-4050 (40ppm) and KM-3050 (30ppm). These user-friendly products, based on award-winning technology and reliability, are a strong complement to the Equitrac Embedded software offerings as they are designed to improve workplace performance and productivity, improve security and simplify day-to-day tasks.
The Equitrac Embedded software is designed for different markets. Equitrac Office meets the needs of today's enterprise, government or small-to-medium businesses and Equitrac Embedded software for Equitrac Express has been designed specifically to meet the print, copy, scan and fax requirements for educational institutions or library facilities.

Equitrac Embedded solutions for Equitrac Office and Express for use on the Kyocera MFPs will be demonstrated at the AIIM International Exposition and Conference in Boston (March 3 - 6, 2008) at Equitrac Corporation's booth #947. Both solutions for Kyocera's MFPs will be sold through a license delivery model, and will be made generally available for the KM-3050, KM-4050 and KM-5050 MFP lines in North and Latin America, this June 2008.
