Document solutions company, Kyocera Mita South Africa (KMSA), has announced the availability of the fastest, most affordable, monochrome desktop laser printer in its class. The FS-1020D offers automatic duplex print capability as standard, providing extra functionality even in its basic configuration.
Featuring a fast 266MHz processor, an engine speed of 20 A4 pages per minute and a 250-sheet output tray, the FS-1020D provides outstanding productive power. Even though the FS-1020D is primarily designed as a compact personal desktop printer, its performance and network options allows it to be shared within workgroups.
Lowest cost per page in its class
Utilising the ECOSYS cartridge-free laser concept, the only consumable that needs to be replaced is the high-capacity toner.
Small footprint - big performance
As the only printer in its class to provide double-sided printing as standard, the FS-1020D saves paper and office space. The duplex unit is fully integrated into the body of this compact printer, thus not increasing its size.
For larger print jobs, the printer`s paper-input can be raised from the standard 300 sheets - including a 50-sheet multipurpose tray - to 550 sheets by adding an optional paper cassette.
Fastest processor in its class
Thanks to its 266MHz CPU and 16MB (max 272MB) of RAM, the FS-1020D offers quicker processing and thus faster printing.
The FS-1020D uses Kyocera Mita`s own controller language PRESCRIBE and emulates PostScript3 as well as PCL 6. All common operating systems like all Windows platforms, MAC/OS and Unix are supported.
