Kyocera Mita launches Marathon Machine Competition

Johannesburg, 10 Oct 2007

Kyocera Mita has launched the "Marathon Machine Competition" to find the oldest Kyocera Mita device still running in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The printers and multifunctionals/copiers of the Japanese output specialist are renowned for being robust and reliable. The competition will show how long the products incorporating long-life components with ceramic properties really last.

The customer with the oldest device will win a Japanese-themed party for 50 guests, featuring traditional food, drinks and entertainment at a mystery location.

Plus, the winner will get a brand new Kyocera Mita device in exchange for the old one: a KM-C2525E colour MFP to replace a copier or a FS-C5030N colour printer for a printer. The second, third, fourth and fifth-placed winners will receive a new colour printer.

In South Africa, further prizes will be awarded, consisting of a KM-2560 multifunctional product (MFP) to the person who owns the oldest copier, and an FS-C5015N printer to the person with the oldest printer running in South Africa.

The "Marathon Machine Competition" will run from 1 October to 30 November 2007 and the results will be announced in December 2007. Customers can enter online at www.kyoceramita.co.za. Entrants will need to provide the serial number and name of the device, from which the age will be identified, and a photo. For full rules, please see the competition Web site.
