Document solutions company, Kyocera Mita South Africa (KMSA), has launched the KM-6330 multifunctional, which offers the lowest total cost of ownership in its class.
The KM-6330, which produces 63ppm, is a multifunctional device with optional printer and scanner functions that cater for a range of set-ups, from departmental to production, and replaces the popular KM-6230.
"Like its predecessor, the KM-6330 offers the lowest total cost of ownership in its class. This new model, however, provides higher speed, many exciting new features and will be the most dependable high-speed multifunctional on the market," says Wayne Holborn, General Manager, Kyocera Mita South Africa.
High image quality is produced using Fast 1200dpi resolution at full speed, and documents are scanned at 600 x 600dpi at high scan speed of 63 originals per minute (opm).
"The machine features the longest drum life on the market, with a capacity for producing up to 3.6 million pages," Holborn explains. "The new device has the longest maintenance cycle in its class at 500 000 pages. Thanks to Kyocera Mita`s long life components, the duration and frequency of maintenance is greatly reduced, lowering labour costs and overall total cost of ownership (TCO)."
The KM-6330 has a high paper capacity of 4 200 sheets as standard, and an additional 4 000-sheet side deck option is available.
Features as standard
The KM-6330 has many innovative features as standard, including a duplex function and a reversing automatic document feeder with a capacity for 100 originals. The system can scan 63opm, and from a single scan will make up to 999 sets of multiple copies.
This model saves the user time as the toner can be replenished while the device is printing, allowing uninterrupted jobs. The unit also has a `job-building` function to maximise productivity, efficiency and convenience by enabling users to easily combine many different types and sizes of originals into single copy jobs.
Another useful feature is the `memo mode`, which, when selected, produces a reduced version of the page printed on the top half of the sheet of paper, leaving the bottom half of the sheet blank for notes. This is very useful for turning documents into presentation handouts for businesses, schools and other educational facilities.
Ease of use
The machine has an ultra wide-screen touch panel designed to save the user time when copying, printing and scanning. The panel can also be customised to meet the user`s particular needs by creating short-cut keys for frequently used functions.
Electronic data handling
The standard 20GB hard disk can be used for both copy and printer jobs for integrated solutions. The output of documents can be combined irrespective of the software application in which they were created.
Kyocera Mita developed the new KM Document Flow System to enable users to easily send scanned documents to folders of any PC on the network with simple and intuitive indexing via the touch-screen of the KM-6330.
Networking without limits
The optional Printing System on the KM-6330 includes a Fast Ethernet interface (10/100Base-TX) so it can be integrated into the network immediately. Kyocera Mita is the only manufacturer to offer a wide range of optional network interfaces, including TokenRing, BNC, Fiberlink and even Wireless LAN, which guarantees perfect operation in almost any system environment.
Networking is made even more efficient by KM-NETVIEWER, which enables complete monitoring and control of devices from every computer, offering ideal network administration while supporting the standardised protocol, SNMP.
Professional document finishing
Multiple finishing and enhancement features include a modular stapling document finisher, a booklet folding unit, a 5-bin multi-tray and hole punch unit. With these flexible finishing systems, the reproduction of a variety of high quality documents is quick and easy.
