Kyocera Mita South Africa (KMSA) today announced the availability of a new solution for total multifunctional document management, with high speed and low total cost of ownership (TCO).
The KM-7530 combines the most advanced data input, archiving and transfer, with reliable, high-quality output and finishing options. The standard configuration of the KM-7530 includes a document feeder, duplex copying and 4 200-sheet input capacity.
The KM-7530 has a quick first copy time of 3.2 seconds, and at 75ppm for printing, scanning and copying, it is ideal for high-productivity tasks in large departments. In a tandem configuration, two KM-7530s can produce a staggering 150ppm for printing and copying.
Fast 1 200dpi is produced at full speed for copy and print with a high scan resolution of 600 x 600dpi, allowing for the high-quality reproduction of all documents, charts, diagrams, maps and finely detailed images.
Augustina Jardim, product manager at Kyocera Mita South Africa, says the company`s unique printing technology, which uses long-life components, means unrivalled high reliability and high quality output for the user. "The KM-7530 is designed for 500 000 copies/prints before preventive maintenance is required and its long-life amorphous silicon (aSi) drum will last for 4.5 million pages."
Stylish and functional design features
The KM-7530 has been designed to be a visual asset as well as a valued office assistant. The wide-screen touch panel display can be customised to meet the user`s individual needs: For example, `one-touch` and `short-cut` keys can be selected and displayed for frequently used functions.
Flexible modularity
The modular design of the KM-7530 means this one device can offer the best solution for whatever the user`s office needs happen to be. Multiple finishing and enhancement features are available in addition to the device`s standard configuration, including stapling, booklet folding and hole-punching functions.
Scanning options
Kyocera Mita has developed the new KM Document Flow System that provides three different ways of scanning: scan-to-file, scan-to-e-mail and network TWAIN scan.
The new scan-to-file features enable users to easily send scanned documents in a PDF or TIFF file format to folders of any PC on the network with simple indexing. Data can also be scanned to electronic mail and sent to multiple e-mail addresses at one time.
Connectivity
Designed around a Kyocera Mita developed PowerPC 750/400MHz CPU controller, the KM-7530 is ideal for busy departments. The optional printing system (R) includes a Fast Ethernet interface (10/100Base-TX), which enables the KM-7530 to be integrated into the network immediately.
Other optional network interfaces are also available, including Token Ring, Ethernet 10Base-2 and 10/100Base-TX, Fiberlink and wireless LAN. A variety of tools for configuration, administration and remote operation of the network interfaces are available.
The KM-7530 can easily be monitored on the network by Kyocera Mita`s KM-NET VIEWER printer management software. Paper and toner levels can be checked via the network, and this means easy and efficient management of the order/stock of consumables.
