Known for its unique ECOSYS printing technology, Kyocera Mita South Africa (KMSA), has unveiled a new strongly-featured high-speed office colour printer that is just as cost-efficient, compact and easy-to-use as a black and white laser printer.
The FS-C5016N is an A4 tandem print method engine with a running speed of 16 pages per minute in both colour and monochrome.
Low cost, high convenience
Total costs are reduced to an absolute minimum by Kyocera Mita`s ECOSYS technology, which is based on extremely durable components.
With toner as the only consumable, the ECOSYS technology puts an end to the wasteful use of cartridges containing not only toner but also developer and a drum. And while the FS-C5016N achieves the lowest cost per colour page of any printer in its class, it even beats many monochrome laser printers for total cost of ownership when printing in black and white.
Up to five paper sources
The FS-C5016N comes standard with 600-sheet paper capacity. For varied printing requirements, it can be enhanced with three optional 500 sheet paper feeder units raising total paper capacity to an impressive 2 100 sheets, addressable via five paper sources. A full speed duplex unit for double-sided printing is available as a further option.
Fast and easy access
The new printer uses a 400MHz PowerPC RISC processor and 96MB of RAM upgradeable to 608MB, which enables users to keep the printing speed of 16 pages per minute even in the case of complex PCL or PostScript data.
The printer will quickly connect to any office environment via USB (Full Speed), parallel (IEEE 1284) and a built-in Ethernet network interface as standard. Wireless connectivity (IEEE 802.11b) and a range of other networking options as well as a 10GB hard disk for comfortable colour document management can be added.
