Laipac Africa, a resident company at The Innovation Hub, recently announced secured access to investment funds through a strategic alliance with Phoenix Capital Partners, an international investment company based in Botswana.
Phoenix Capital Partners CEO, Neil Oosterlaak, who is experienced in raising money for IPOs and established companies in international markets, has acquired a 51% stake in Laipac Africa through direct investment for the benefit of Phoenix Capital Partners.
It is expected that Laipac Africa will get international exposure through the reverse merger of the 51% owned by Phoenix Capital Partners, with US-based PHX Holdings, with a view to listing on the NASDAQ OTC markets.
Phoenix Capital Partners will involve itself in all aspects of the Laipac Africa product roll-out, as well as bringing to bear its experience of good business governance on the company's commercialisation and marketing initiatives to enhance the value addition to all Laipac clients.
Oosterlaak is confident that Laipac's cutting-edge products, including its S-911 Personal Locator - a compact, mobile personal safety device that functions as a mobile phone with added personal location, communication and emergency enabling capabilities - will successfully meet business needs in the South African market place.
Laipac Africa CEO Carel Herbst believes the company's technical and products expertise, backed by the manufacturing capabilities of Laipac Canada, will be greatly enhanced through the new partnership.
A number of new avenues are currently being explored to appoint agents and enhance product offerings. Substantial interest throughout Africa and the Middle East has also given Laipac an incentive to create brand and product awareness throughout the region.
As a resident of the Enterprise Building at The Innovation Hub, Laipac Africa aims to establish itself as a forerunner in showcasing SA's technical expertise and an innovative marketer of its products.
