Network integration specialists Integr8 IT has been contracted to consolidate the entire infrastructure of business solutions outsourcing specialists, the Laser Group. A service level agreement between the two companies will also ensure that Laser Group is placed onto Integr8 IT`s IP managed network.
According to Robert Sussman, Integr8 IT director, the project in place involves two phases. Firstly, Integr8 IT will consolidate the Laser Group`s hardware and software onto a Windows 2000 active directory structure thereby creating a single point of administration. Following this, the Laser Group will acquire leased line connectivity, support and services by moving onto the Cisco certified IP managed network.
Integr8 IT, with offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg as well as representation in Port Elizabeth, East London and Durban, offers this leased line connectivity service through its strategic partnership with Tier One ISP CiTEC.NET. Once Integr8 IT determines a client`s network requirements, it focuses on the integration of hardware and network infrastructure, while through its partnership with CiTEC.NET, Integr8 is able to leverage off the ISP`s IP managed network - a robust and reliable infrastructure. By the same token CiTEC.NET offers the required bandwidth and support up to router interface for a client`s desired connectivity.
This partnership has presented the Laser Group with a potentially lucrative e-venture opportunity.
I-Net Bridge, who own CiTEC.NET, have entered into a joint venture with the Laser Group to roll out a new integrated HR solutions platform known as VirtuallyHR. According to Laser`s CEO, Michael Fuller, VirtuallyHR will be used to deliver leading edge solutions.
The Laser Group`s portal runs off the I-Net Bridge infrastructure, and through its connection with CiTEC.NET and Integr8 IT, Laser offers its clients the benefit of an efficient, value-added online solution service.
"Being fully plugged into this pipeline, the Laser Group has established premium performance through Integr8 IT`s IP managed network directly into our Internet portal. This will enable us to develop and demonstrate to our customers the advantages of providing a technology solution with the objective of providing online employee self-service," says Fuller.
Sussman says the partnership with CiTEC.NET has led to a unique opportunity for the company to offer its proactive service and support to the Laser Group, as well as play a role in bringing out VirtuallyHR.
"Our clients are outsourcing their entire inter-branch connectivity to Intergr8 IT and the benefits include a significant reduction in the total cost of ownership, continuous monitoring and support. It also means that if connection is lost or lines are effected, it is our responsibility to ensure fast, effective service and control," explains Sussman.
