Latest release of CA`s Unicenter DBA provides single point-of-control for multiple e-business database platforms

Computer Associates International, Inc (CA) has announced the release of Unicenter DBA 5.1 for DB2 UDB for Unix/Windows, the company`s state-of-the-art database administration solution that empowers IT departments to gain unprecedented productivity from their database administrators.

With a highly intuitive user interface that features unique "drag-and-drop" functionality for database objects, this new release of Unicenter DBA streamlines day-to-day administrative tasks and reduces the cost and complexity of managing critical database systems in today`s complex e-business environments. Administrators can use a new Unicenter DBA console to instantly launch components of CA`s integrated database performance management and backup and recovery suites, such as Unicenter TSreorg, Unicenter Fast Unload, Unicenter Log Analyzer, Unicenter Database Analyzer and Unicenter SQL-Station.

In addition, through newly designed integration with other CA database management solutions, Unicenter DBA provides administrators with more effective ways to consistently manage enterprise-wide databases from multiple vendors - including IBM`s DB2 UDB for Unix/Windows, Oracle, MS SQL Server and Sybase.
