Verbatim`s new MP3 player uses 8cm CD-Rs, which makes the recording of MP3s more affordable for the majority. These small CD-Rs can hold up to four hours of MP3 music.
Dave Kruger, product manager for Verbatim at Pinnacle Micro, says: "This is a fantastic new product and at first glance, very impressive. We look forward to lots of success with this little drive."
Verbatim`s MP3 player is designed for people on the move and boasts an amazing 480 seconds (eight minutes) of anti-shock protection, which is eight times longer than any other CD player on the market. The players feature an in-line remote control that has an LCD panel which uses ID3 Tag technology to display the track and artist names. The remote also facilitates track selection and the changing of play mode and EQ settings.
The MP3 player comes complete with lightweight headphones, rechargeable batteries and power supply. Both music and data versions of the 8cm CD-Rs are available from Verbatim through Pinnacle Micro in colour packs of five. It carries a recommended retail price of R1 795.
