Launch of new Ukash product makes PayOut easy

Johannesburg, 26 Oct 2010

Ukash, the global e-money network, has launched its latest product, Ukash PayOut, which is set to shake-up the gaming industry as it offers instant payouts to all players with 0% processing costs to operators or customers.

Results from trials show that players have enjoyed the convenience of withdrawing funds instantly, while operators benefit from reduced overheads and the enhanced reputation that comes from making withdrawing funds easy.

The new product, which is live now and simply pays out a Ukash voucher instantly regardless of the deposit method used, will mark the end of costly cheques, bank transfers and other traditional payment methods, as it provides operators with an instant payout option at the lowest available cost.

Tyrone Perry, Head of Gaming, Ukash, explained: “The international gaming market is an important part of our business and we believe that in Ukash PayOut we have a product that can truly revolutionise the way payments are made to players. Offering an instant, convenient and easy to use product at a lower price than competitors is a magic combination. It will also help to increase player conversion, loyalty and retention, so we are expecting Ukash PayOut to be in high demand.”

Ukash, the world's largest prepaid-cash issuing estate, enables consumers from anywhere in the world to shop, pay and play online safely using cash. Ukash is a secure payment method developed to protect personal identity and financial information when making online transactions; eliminating the threat of credit and debit card fraud for consumers and repudiations and charge-backs for retailers.

Established in 2001 under the holding company Smart Voucher, Ukash has grown to more than 420 000 physical points of purchase, and is available in more than 50 countries and six continents around the world. In 2008, Ukash established a strategic partnership with South African payments giant Blue Label Telecoms - part owned by Microsoft, to develop the brand's services.

Ukash is regulated by the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) and operates as one of only a small number of Electronic Money Institutions, a status that allows a single maximum online cash payment transaction of up to lb500/EUR750.

Uniquely numbered Ukash vouchers are available through payment terminals in retail outlets across Europe, South Africa, South America, Canada and Australia and are also issued online from the company's Web site in selected European territories.

The technology behind Ukash is protected by patents registered across the Smart Voucher database and functionality and is, as such, protected by Patent Law in all the major economies of the world. Ukash is a registered trademark of Smart Voucher.
