Leading practitioners to participate at IT Governance Forum

Johannesburg, 11 May 2005

IT governance practitioners are scheduled to meet to discuss topical issues at the IT Governance Forum to be held at the VW Conference Centre in Midrand on 6 and 7 June 2005.

The interest in IT governance has grown significantly over the last few years. It has become one of the issues of highest priority to CIOs and IT management around the world.

This forum will facilitate discussion on governance topics important to business and IT leaders today. Speakers from companies currently deploying IT governance will discuss their experiences and provide guidance on how to build better governance successfully. Topics include the ramifications of implementing IT governance using the CobiT framework and the monitoring of IT processes for improved IT process performance.

A cornerstone to good governance is performance measurement. Few companies have developed systems of good governance that incorporate process-based performance measurement. Join participants to hear how some companies are addressing this challenge and learn about successful approaches to monitoring process improvement.

The IT Governance Forum is aimed at people currently implementing IT governance or planning to do so in the near future. Its objective is to enable delegates to meet and share information and learn from those that have been successful in improving IT governance in their organisations.

The IT Governance Forum is a two-day event to be held at the VW Conference Centre in Midrand. The first day is dedicated to project managers and project sponsors. The second day will include consultants and product vendors who will share information on trends and automation for better governance. The forum is scheduled for 6 and 7 June, starting at 8.30am each day. Further details and the full agenda and registration forms can be found at www.cobit.co.za.
