Lenovo rolls out 'fun-on wheels'

Lenovo India has kicked off the 'fun-on-wheels' campaign, a new multi-city drive to better connect with customers and offer a sneak peek of its latest range of notebooks and desktops, says Express India.

This campaign, undertaken in association with Intel, has started in Bangalore and will move on to Hyderabad later this month.

A mobile van with Lenovo's new 'Fun' brand positioning will showcase its new flagship consumer products across key vicinities in these cities.

Netbook sales to double

Netbooks, once expected to fade away in favour of desktops and notebooks, are still enjoying strong sales, writes eWeek.

Shipments are forecast to hit 60 million in 2010, and that figure is now expected to double by 2013, according to a report by ABI Research.

New Apple desktops on the way?

Apple has been busy releasing swaths of new mobile hardware this year, including the iPad, new notebooks, and most recently, the iPhone 4, states Ars Technica.

Apple did manage to squeeze in a revised unibody Mac mini earlier this year, but new information suggests new iMacs and Mac Pros could be showing up soon.

A report from Apple Insider indicates Apple is clearing the channel of current iMac models. Distributors and are supposedly being told to not expect any additional new stock and to sell through the stock they currently have on hand.
