Overall, 2014 was a very successful year for Anametrix. It finished off making a healthy profit and the directors were congratulated by the shareholders at a meeting in early January.
Managing director, Mike Robson, contributed a large portion of the success to his staff. "Our senior consultants are, in my opinion, among the best in the country. They need no micro-management, can run a customer site unaided, and still deliver excellent service. This allows management to focus on generating revenue elsewhere."
The numbers don't lie. The staff was, on average, 97% productive, billing 97% of their possible hours for the year. Even management billed 79% of their time.
When asked about customer trends, Robson had the following to say: "Very few customers seem to be investing in new BI technologies at the moment. We have seen that a lot of companies are under pressure to show a return on previous investments. This has resulted in customers sweating their existing assets and spending more on consulting than software over the last 12 months."
