LexisNexis SA has released what it calls the first local professional e-books service in the country.
The online bookstore is designed to cater for the research needs within the legal, tax, accounting and financial services industries.
LexisNexis says the new e-books look and act in the same way to print editions, using the same indexing and layout. Added features include search tools, hyperlinks, cross-referencing functions, as well as highlighting and annotations. Changes can be saved and synchronised across devices, and offline access is available.
“Despite all these new functions, e-books use a surprisingly low amount of memory and a wonderful paperless option for today's modern eco-conscious office and a great alternative to the outdated and costly CD and DVD technologies,” says LexisNexis SA.
The current range of e-books available can be seen in the LexisNexis online bookstore. Once a user has made a purchase, they will receive an e-mail with a download link for the e-book.
It is recommended that customers have the latest Adobe Digital software installed on their devices, and have a secure Adobe ID account.
