Lexmark announces Dealer Touch programme

Johannesburg, 06 Feb 2004

Furthering its commitment to the channel, and to provide an overall view into the company and brand, Lexmark SA has launched its Dealer Touch training programme.

Set to kick off in February this year, the Dealer Touch programme will be hosted every second Tuesday in Johannesburg, and aims to provide dealers with a more in-depth view of what is happening within Lexmark, the market, new products, and provide the channel with all the tools needed to activate sales.

Hans Horn, MD of Lexmark SA, says: "We have always had an excellent relationship with our dealers, but we believe that the Dealer Touch training programme will provide the perfect platform to provide even more up-to-date training and product briefings to our valued customers. In these sessions, Lexmark will outline our technology roadmaps, offer ongoing sales and marketing support, and ultimately show our dealers exactly how committed we are to them."

Dealers will have the opportunity to receive direct information on all products at the Dealer Touch sessions, and be able to with Lexmark product specialists and account managers on a regular basis.

Horn adds: "Although dealer`s commitment to us have prompted the kick-off of these events, we have also set them motion to encourage dealer feedback on products and perceptions in the industry. In doing this we can ensure that we are able to keep close tabs on our market position and keep lines of communication between dealers and ourselves as open as possible. We see the Dealer Touch training programme as a critical investment in our channel."

Timetables for the events are available from Lexmark and on its Web site at www.lexmark.co.za. All registered and authorised dealers are welcome to attend these events. Although kick-off will be in Johannesburg, quarterly events will be held in the regions, which include Durban, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth.
