Lexmark`s fourth annual gala dinner was held on 6 September at Summer Place in Hyde Park, Johannesburg. Channel, distribution and press partners turned up to the ever popular event where Lexmark celebrated its 15th year of business, as well as its fifth year as a subsidiary in South Africa. The event reaffirms Lexmark`s commitment to its South African channel and applauds the efforts of all of those who have contributed to the success of the Lexmark brand over the last year.
Says Hans Horn, MD of Lexmark South Africa: "Our partners are critical to the success of the Lexmark brand in SA, and we feel privileged to host a celebration of their accomplishments. Lexmark has come a long way since it was formed in 1991, and our presence in SA over the last five years has seen us grow from strength to strength."
At the event Lexmark announced the winners of its Lexmark Sales Incentive 2006. Selected resellers receive a hardware target which needs to be reached by the end of July to qualify for the travel incentive. Winners of the channel awards included Bula Technologies, Business Connexion, CHM Vuwani, CSS Tirisano, Eclipse Networks, Imbumba Technologies and Communication, Lazer Tech, Solly`s Discount World, Ubuntu Technologies and XON. These top hardware dealers qualified for the trip of a lifetime to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
Concludes Horn: "This has been an exciting year for Lexmark, with several new products being launched and a renewed strategic focus on small and medium businesses and simplifying the printing processes. Our success in the last 12 months, and over the last five years, would not have been possible without the support and loyalty of our partners. We would like to reaffirm our commitment to the local channel and with their help we hope to reap even greater success in 2007, success we all will benefit from," ends Horn.
