The latest IDC results reveal that Lexmark was the top inkjet seller in the fourth quarter of 2008 in South Africa. Despite the global economic climate, which has caused the overall inkjet market to decline by 37% between the third and last quarter, Lexmark managed to grow by 25% in sales units.
“The success of our inkjet range lies in the exceptional value in terms of affordability, wireless functionality and product-confidence inspired by the three and five year guarantees we offer,” explains Mark Hiller, managing director of Lexmark South Africa,.
Hiller goes on to explain that the international imaging company has moved away from entry level devices and has repositioned its range for students and home-office based professionals, as well as making changes to its local operation to ensure optimum customer care and after-sales service.
