Lexmark offers affordable wireless printing capabilities for SMBs

The Lexmark N4050e combines wireless technology with security features in a small, compact print server

Lexmark has introduced a new low-cost print server providing wireless networking capabilities for both personal and workgroup printers. Aimed at small and medium businesses (SMBs), the Lexmark N4050e offers the right mix of wireless technology, security and compatibility to meet the needs of today`s changing network environments.

With leading market research firms projecting rapid growth of 802.11g wireless printing over the next year, the Lexmark N4050e also offers the latest WiFi Protected Access (WPA) security and supports a broader range of inkjet printers than any other product at a competitive price.

"With the anticipated high demand for wireless printing, Lexmark is excited to offer the N4050e to our customers," says Hans Horn, Managing Director of Lexmark South Africa. "Besides offering small and medium businesses a low-cost, wireless print server, Lexmark is providing value-conscious customers a high level of protection with the same security features found in many enterprise environments."

The Lexmark N4050e wireless print server is compatible with the Lexmark X7170 All-In-One printer and the E-series of desktop monochrome laser printers. In addition, the Lexmark N4050e supports the X6170, X6150, X5270, X5250, X5150, Z65, Home Copier Plus, and any other USB connected Lexmark business printer.

Pricing and availability

The Lexmark N4050e will be available for purchase immediately from local Lexmark resellers. The recommended street price is R1 620 (inclusive of VAT).
