Venture Computer, the sole distributor for Lexmark International in Southern Africa, today announced two new software products from Lexmark, for on-the-fly forms creation to benefit customers with on-demand forms printing applications. The new software gives users the ability to quickly and easily generate real-time forms.
Users can access the ready-to-fill form in either HTML or PDF format with a Web browser and the entered data is merged with the form at the printer. It can be printed or saved to a database file if required by the system administrator.

Speed and throughput of print jobs is fast with Lexmark Optra Forms Web Filler and the Optra Forms Filler for Windows because forms are stored at the printer. The data entered by the user is the only thing transferred from the workstation to the printer.
Optra Forms Web Filler and Optra Forms Filler for Windows software work with networked Lexmark printers that support the Optra Forms flash SIMM, Optra Forms flash DIMM or Optra Forms hard disk storage options.
These new Optra Forms products expand Lexmark`s forms software offerings. Optra Forms, originally introduced in 1998, is a printer-based electronic forms printing solution that stores forms, fonts and formatting information in the printer. Host data sent to the printer is formatted, positioned on the page, converted to bar codes if required and merged with the form as it prints. The combination of the processing power of the printer and the powerful Optra Forms Merge firmware in the printer creates a simple e-forms solution.
Optra Forms, Optra Forms Web Filler and Optra Forms Filler for Windows provide affordable, on-demand, simple and easy- to-use electronic forms printing solutions.
