LG backs competition against a wall with new home cinema projector

Johannesburg, 02 Jun 2006

Until now, home theatre projectors have looked no different than projectors found in conference rooms. LG Electronics, a global leader in digital display products, now introduces a revolutionary new approach to home theatre design - the AN110 DLP Wall Mounted Projector.

A high-definition (HD) DLP projector whose design gravitates more towards contemporary artwork than a piece of home theatre equipment, the AN110 will thrill even the most discerning home cinema aficionado.

The first projector designed with the intent to be mounted flat against the wall, the AN110`s ability to display vivid, bright and crisp HD images up to 100 inches will make the home entertainment room the most popular in the house.

This unique offering is made possible by two patented LG technologies. The first is a unique L-type projection lens which allows for a -125% - +125% vertical lens shift and enabled LG`s engineers to create a sleek projector suitable for wall mounting.

The second is LG`s Reverse Type TIR Prism - a two-dimensional structure that allows for optimum uniformity of 98 percent to ensure favourite movies and television programs are viewed the way they were meant to be.

The AN110 is a HD-ready DLP projector with WXGA (1280*768) DMD. Additional features found in this groundbreaking projector are 1100 ANSI Lumens brightness, a contrast ratio of 2500:1, LG`s exclusive XD Engine, which giving users six image controls, allowing for optimal viewing. Not only is the projector extremely quiet - emitting only 24 decibels of sound - it`s an unobtrusive 88mm thick. Available in a stylish white or half-mirror black finish, it is also VGA, SVGA, XGA and SXGA compatible to meet the needs of any home entertainer.
