LGE combines MP3 player, digital camera and PC camera

LG Electronics has introduced the Music Eye, a next generation fusion product combining MP3 player, still camera, and PC camera, which allows Net-Generation (N-Gen) users to enjoy music and images simultaneously while on the go.

"Unlike conventional attach-and-play products, Digital Music Eye is a convenient fusion product that fully supports three different functions in one very compact size (64.5 x 93.5 x 23mm, L-W-D)," explains Jaehong Kim, product manager: IT products at LG Electronics SA. "The lens can be rotated in up-down directions so that all three functions can be enjoyed in optimum conditions."

As an MP3 player, the Digital Music Eye can play music downloaded from the . This product comes equipped with a 32MB MMC card that can be expanded up to 64MB of memory to store as many as 16 songs.

"It can also be used as a PC camera, at home or on the fly, to capture and send high speed digital videos at more than 30 frames/sec in CIF (320 X 240) mode or more than 15 frames/sec in VGA (640 X 480) mode," says Kim.

"Bundled software enables the Digital Music Eye to be used for a variety of functions including video communication, video editing, image album production and security surveillance. Even edited contents can be transmitted through the Internet."

Outdoors, Digital Music Eye can be used as a digital still camera with resolution of more than 310,000 pixels to capture and store pictures onto the Flash Memory Card. "This enables N-Gen users to capture instant images and enjoy music simultaneously when on the move," he comments.

The product comes in five different colors, including N-Gen favorites orange and blue, and its unique design is a combination of rectangular and linear shapes. Other key features include a USB interface and a switchless device driver.

"The LGE Digital Music Eye`s flexibility and functionality, unusual design and attractive price point will make it a must-have consumer buy for Internet-savvy shoppers," concludes Kim
