LG Electronics SA`s IT Division has finalised its channel strategy for its product range in South Africa to further drive the market penetration of its CDT, LCD and Flatron monitors, as well as its custom LG PCs, MP3 players, CD-ROM, CD-Rewritable and DVD-ROM drives.
LG Electronics SA`s IT Division`s official channel distributors for its components are Bethesda Computers, CompuComp, and Brother Business Machines, the latter focusing mainly on government tenders and corporate customers.
"This creates a very comprehensive and compelling sales channel infrastructure, with the ability to deliver to dealers and resellers the products they need via the channel they prefer," says Deon Botha, account manager: IT products at LG Electronics SA.
"With its balanced mix of channel representatives, LG concentrates on creating pull in the market through a solid brand awareness campaign. We have unrestricted support from our channel partners and they are doing a very professional job for us. The results speak for themselves."
According to Wayne Booysen, MD of local LG distributor, Bethesda Computers, the company (Bethesda) has recently appointed New Generation Solutions as a reseller focusing mainly on the LG brand of computer hardware.
"We have formed a formidable partnership with LG and are experiencing a redirection of all queries to us as distributors. We have a high regard for LG and their products."
