Innovative financial services group Liberty has launched a cutting-edge handheld technology tool boasting a PDA-based (personal digital assistance) quoting solution for the insurance market.
KeyLife, developed in conjunction with KeySure Solutions, is a complete quoting system for Liberty`s Blueprint, which remains the most advanced and comprehensive software suite of its type anywhere in the world, and runs on any handheld device supporting the Palm OS operating system.
According to Lee Izikowitz, Liberty Group Chief Information Officer, "KeyLife improves BluePrint`s accessibility by alleviating the need for financial advisers to lug around their laptops."
KeyLife features a built-in search engine and the latest actuarial tables from Liberty. This means that given a customer`s personal details the system can provide a quote for a policy in seconds, almost like an instant quotation.
A synchronization function of the handheld hardware allows for details to be synchronized with a desktop application or a central database. Through a standard hardware configuration with application software, on either the Handspring Visor or the PalmVx, KeyLife allows for hundreds of quotes to be stored. Izikowitz says that KeyLife forms part of Liberty`s plan of providing its mobile professionals with accessible tools to best increase their business and service their clients.
