Bytes Document Solutions has announced the local availability of the Xerox 4110 Digital Copier/Printer, designed specifically for use in the highly demanding light production environment.
The light production market includes systems that average print volumes of 80 000 to 350 000 pages a month. This 110 page-per-minute (ppm) black-and-white system lets customers produce a diverse range of jobs with the highest volume and image quality needed in the market.
"Higher copy and print resolution, a more productive scanner, larger total paper capacity, and a greater range of supported paper weights are all factors that separate the Xerox 4110 from existing offerings," says Paul Haglich, production systems group marketing manager at Bytes Document Solutions, the sole authorised distributor of Xerox products and solutions in sub-Saharan Africa.
"With the light production market classified as the fastest growing part of the black-and-white copying market, boasting a 9.2% compound annual growth rate, the Xerox 4110 easily fulfils the needs of this segment."
Designed for small to medium print shops and large offices, the Xerox 4110 features dual-head scanning technology that allows organisations to maximise productivity through the simultaneous scanning of the front and back of a document at 100 impressions per minute, 600 x 600 dots per inch (DPI).
Productivity is further boosted with the ability to replenish toner while the system is running; and the use of the Xerox patented EA (emulsion aggregation) toner, a super-smooth form of "dry ink" with uniform particles, delivers consistent image quality and high reliability throughout long print runs. The Xerox 4110 also sets an image-quality benchmark for its class, printing up to 2 400 x 2 400dpi with halftone screen.
"The Xerox 4110 trumps competitive products, giving customers the features they need to produce jobs easier, quicker and with a consistent high image quality that you would expect from more expensive, high-speed, higher volume digital devices," Haglich says.
Able to handle heavier and larger paper sizes, up to 330mm x 488mm and 216gsm, and with extensive in-line finishing capabilities, the Xerox 4110 enables the production of a range of print jobs including reports, maps, brochures, engineering documents, saddle-stitched booklets, and C- or Z-fold booklets and mailers.
It has a maximum 8 225-sheet paper capacity and up to eight paper trays. Its standard configuration features 100-sheet stapling, a two- and three-hole punch, and a post-process inserter that can insert pre-printed black-and-white or colour pages into a document. An optional booklet maker finisher is also available.
"The Xerox 4110 joins the Xerox 2101 Digital Copier/Printer as part of Xerox`s light production offerings," Haglich adds. "In the black-and-white market, the 2101 has been widely accepted in offices, quick print shops, in-plants and central reprographic departments. The Xerox 4110 is designed to deliver even more functionality for those environments, including increased scanning productivity, more flexible substrate handling, enhanced finishing capabilities and improved image quality, all at a lower cost of ownership."
As the authorised Xerox distributor to 22 sub-Saharan countries, Bytes Document Solutions, previously known as Xerox South Africa, is engaged in the marketing and servicing of the complete range of Xerox document equipment, software, solutions and services, and operating through an extensive network of dealers, concessionaires and channel partners.
