LigoWave, a manufacturer and developer of solutions for providers and telecommunications companies, has appointed Duxbury Networking as its exclusive distributor in SA.

LigoWave's offerings operate in licensed and unlicensed frequency bands and are divided into point-to-point and mesh product lines.

According to LigoWave CEO Bill Brown, the company uses new-generation hardware platforms as well as software technology to handle the security and management needs of today's growing wireless infrastructures.

"We're able to deliver a customised wireless solution with levels of performance and stability unparalleled in the wireless market today," he says.

Brown adds that in teaming up with Duxbury Networking, LigoWave is able to offer after-sales and technical support to channel partners - system integrators and wireless equipment resellers - in SA.

Duxbury Networking CEO Graham Duxbury says LigoWave is committed to quality, innovation and performance, core values it shares with Duxbury Networking and its accredited resellers.

"Today's evolving wireless communication markets require swift reaction to change and dedication to cost-effectiveness, which are central to the LigoWave philosophy and mirror our own viewpoint. We are, therefore, delighted to add LigoWave products, currently sold in more than 120 countries, to our product portfolio," he says.

Andy Robb, CTO at Duxbury Networking, says LigoWave's point-to-point and mesh wireless solutions will be a boon to the burgeoning wireless Internet service provider and telecommunications markets in SA.

"They are key to supporting these markets going forward," he adds. We're pleased to be able to provide our customers with the latest products and the value-added benefits that will flow from Duxbury Networking's collaboration with LigoWave."
