Linux Holdings has announced that it has been named a Bynari Insight reseller.
"We are extremely pleased to add the Bynari software range to our open source arsenal," says Kin le Roux, MD of Linux Holdings.
The Bynari software is a complete Microsoft Outlook solution and gives companies a replacement to the Microsoft Exchange server. It effectively replaces the Exchange server at a much lower cost and full support services are available.
It integrates 100% with Microsoft Outlook and comes complete with migration tools for Exchange 5.5, 2000 and 2003. Many additional features are included, for example internal instant messaging with jabber and free server-side anti-spam and anti-virus software.
"We are using an extremely interesting marketing concept for this product," says Le Roux.
"We are selling our Linux GUI training courses now for a limited period at R550 for a two-day course. This is below cost and in return we add a 30-minute Bynari module to the course. These system administration students are exactly the right people to show the Bynari Insight server to. It stays a course and not a place for sales people trying to sell; instead the student receives an introduction to Bynari Insight server and a short training session on how to administrate the server by the lecturer."
Le Roux concludes: "My interest in open source stems from being able to have a choice. I agree open source is not always the answer to all software solutions but now and then there is an open source program standing out head and shoulders above the rest with proper national and international support.
"The Bynari Insight server is one of those products and that is the most important reason we are so excited to offer our customers this solution."
