Liquid Telecom distribution with Far South Networks

Johannesburg, 07 Jul 2014

Liquid Telecom has established a distribution agreement with Far South Networks to resell its IP PBX and SIP Gateway products within the territories it operates, starting with Zimbabwe.

Utilising Far South Networks' innovative VOIP technology, Liquid Telecom is able to offer its business customers with robust, high availability voice services over the Liquid Telecom fibre network. Liquid Telecom can also enable its reseller channel with a full featured, on-site IP PBX that is both future-proof and scalable.

Liquid Telecom completed sales and technical training, facilitated by Far South Networks, to its internal and external channels. The product was launched in field trials to select customers in Zimbabwe on 1 September 2013 and will be launched publicly in August 2014. Liquid Telecom will hold stock locally and offer a warranty swap-out centre staff with two Far South Networks' certified engineers.

Liquid Telecom, has built Africa's largest fibre network; it runs from the north of Uganda to Cape Town and spans more than 15 000 km through Botswana, DRC, Lesotho, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

As a leader in IP PBX and SIP Gateway market, Far South Networks provides businesses with a platform supporting a flexible and powerful "3-in-One" feature package for managing voice and data service delivery with unparalleled quality and security. The Com.X Integrated Access Gateway platform supports on device feature set migration to an on-site PBX or an IP Centrex, cloud based service.

Far South Networks products are designed and manufactured in South Africa for African conditions, using open standards and open architectures.

Liquid Telecom Zimbabwe's Next Generation Voice service offers crystal clear digital call quality over their wholly owned and managed redundant fibre network. The new service runs on the non-geographic 08677 number range and directly connects to a fully redundant softswitch without passing through the public internet. The service is also the first to offer landline video calling in Zimbabwe. Liquid Telecom customers enjoy the lowest tariffs in the market.
