My Business Online, South Africa's first Web-based accounting program - developed by Softline Pastel - has been voted as the most innovative Web product within the global Sage group, Softline's holding company.
The winners of the Sage Innovation Awards were announced at the Sage international conference, in Morocco. Sage operates in over 24 countries and My Business Online (www.pastelmybusiness.co.za) was up against a range of progressive Web initiatives from across the group.
Launched in June 2009, Pastel My Business Online is aimed at the SME market and is designed for business owners with very little bookkeeping knowledge. Although it is easy to use, it offers the functionality of a fully-fledged accounting package, including dashboards, graphs and drill-downs to source transactions.
Because it's online and also available as a mobile application, Pastel My Business offers the user complete mobility, which is so important for today's business owners.
“My Business Online is one of the most exciting developments to come out of Pastel in the past couple of years, so I am really pleased that it has received international recognition,” said Steven Cohen, managing director of Softline Pastel, who was in Morocco to receive the award.
